Governor Newsom announced nearly $300 million in no-interest loans to 17 community hospitals across the state through the Distressed Hospital Loan Program (DHLP). Back in May, as part of an early budget action, Governor Newsom and the Legislature created the DHLP
The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) has announced it will expand Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) to jails and drug courts. The $2.9 million funding will go to 29 counties to support the development or expansion of access to MAT. Read more here.
Apparently HMA (see above) will be very busy as they have also been selected by the California Health and Human Services Agency (CalHHS) as the external consultant team in support of the implementation of Assembly Bill 988. HMA will support
