State of Emergency in Children’s Mental Health

Children Now, the California Children’s Hospital Association (CCHA), the California Academy of Pediatrics (AAP-CA), CAL-ACAP, CSAP, the California Alliance for Children and Family Services (CACFS) and the California Community Behavioral Health Association (CBHA) are joining together to request that the Governor declare a statewide State of Emergency in Children’s Mental Health. In a letter to Governor Newsom, the coalition will request that he formally declare the status of child and adolescent mental health in California a public health emergency. You may view the draft letter here. Any questions or comments, please contact Paul Yoder of SYASL.
