On September 15th, the CCJBH hosted a webinar that featured a presentation by the Department of Health Care Services on youth recovery programs, as well as the Drug Medi-Cal Organized Delivery System. In addition, perspectives from former justice-system involved individuals were shared by members of the Anti-Recidivism Coalition to highlight successes and challenges for serving this vulnerable population. Investing in Mental Health: Roundtable Discussion –
Did you know that State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond is also a social worker? He is. This week, the Superintendent, Senator Steve Glazer, Stephanie Welch from the State Department of Health Care Services, Toby Ewing of the State Mental Health Oversight and Accountability Commission – among others – convened to discuss recent developments in mental health, especially as they pertain to youth. During the presentation, the slide below was presented, which provides a pretty easy way to view many if not most of all the recent major developments in youth behavioral health.
